Independence Day Beach Run

The following post is one of my backlogs, lying idle for more than a year already on my drafts. As I think I wouldn't be able to complete the post anymore, I decided to just finish it as a photo-blog (idea thanks to Barefoot Daves).

This event was held last June 12, 2011 at Iba Zambales, originally set as the Boracay's Sali Ako 'dyan run. This was a half beach, half road race.

Enjoy the photos:

Arrival at Iba
Signing our registration form, a day before the event
How's that for an ATV and Reebok model?
The hunt for the bulldozer, errr dinner.
The wind and waves are so strong, makes a good location for surfing
And there they are, surfing before the sun sets

Vicky getting a hang on the surfboard
The whole gang conquering the fun run
Dinner munching at the apartment where we stayed
Dawn break
Ready and... still sleepy!
Even the dog's still sleepy and lazy to bark at strangers
Battle of the shoes
Ready to fight!
Arrival at the finish line (we have no photos along the course, seryosong takbo)
Beep-beep
Titanium Runner
