The Marikina Watershed located at Sitio Kayrupa (Wawa), Brgy. San Rafael, Rodriguez (Montalban), Rizal is continuously being re-forested with 7,000 varieties of trees such as Dao, Narra, and Molave on a 20-hectares land area. While another 200-hectares allocated by the DENR (Department of Environment and Natural Resources) was already planted with 7,000 saplings of Robusta Coffee and 950 tree varieties. Currently, there are still 100,000 Robusta Coffee saplings that still needs to be planted.

Del Guzman is also calling the attention of neighborhood Cities to refrain from throwing garbages along the waterlines to avoid flooding.
"Tayo ay gumagawa ng mga hakbang upang hindi lamang mapangalagaan ang kapaligiran bagkus ay upang makapagligtas na rin ng buhay at ari-arian laban sa mapaminsalang baha o pagtaas ng tubig sa Ilog ng Marikina sa tuwing may kalamidad. Ito ay hindi lamang tungkulin ng pamahalaan kung hindi tungkulin rin ng bawat isa." - Mayor Del Guzman.

This project is being promoted through the efforts of the local government of Marikina City, Rotary Club of Marikina, with the help of Coach Rio Dela Cruz of RunRio Inc. and support of the DENR, Manila Water, Gatorade, Timex, and Botak.
