Hit The Trail at The 3rd Merrell Adventure Run

Are you tired of doing fun runs on paved metro highways? Then get ready to take on a more challenging trail packed with dirt roads, flowing streams, river crossings, rock scrambling, and uphill and downhill paths as the 3rd Merrell Adventure Run happens on June 2, 2012 at Timberland Heights in San Mateo, Rizal.

As the pioneer in adventure trail running, the Merrell Adventure Run boasts of stretches of level and inclined pathways, breathtaking views and man-made obstacles. Runners will also get their feet wet in rushing river crossings and climbing rocky lanes.

With more challenges to face, runners should be equipped with the right gear for this demanding race. This is where trail running shoes like the Merrell True Trail True Glove, Waterpro Maipo, Gauley, Ottawa, Manistee, Surge and Trek for men and Merrell Pace, Pure Glove, Waterpro Maipo, Manistee, Crystal and Sable for women are a must.

Other gear like a hydration pack or water bottle belt, cap, gloves, running gaiters, and energy bars or gels are also highly recommended, especially for 21K runners.

Despite the rough terrain and farther distances, participants can remain focused on their performance and form since race marshals and roving medical personnel will be on foot and on motorcycles to assist participants and ensure their safety.

Medical stations will be set up at the start and finish lines while numerous hydration stations will be installed throughout the course.

Run on the rugged side at the Merrell Adventure Run 2012. Register now at Merrell Concept Shops in Trinoma; Market! Market!; Festival Mall, Alabang; and Marquee Mall, Pampanga. Registration fees are P500 for 5K, P650 for 10K, and P800 for 21K. Race kits include a timing chip, singlet, and bib number and finisher shirts. Medals for the top 50 finishers of 5k and 10k categories while all 21k category finishers automatically get a medal.
